Ice Climbing Gear

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Ice climbing is a very adventurous and exciting sport. It involves climbing frozen formations of ice, such as ice falls, frozen waterfalls and glaciers. It can also be dangerous without expertise and the right kind of equipment. Since ice climbing is done on very high mountains, it is better to be well equipped for all kinds of needs as well as emergencies. It would also be better to take enough equipment to last a few days.

There are many kinds of ice climbing gear. These vary depending on the user– some are meant for experts while others are meant for amateurs who pursue mountaineering as a hobby. The basic ice climbing gear consists of: ropes, cords, webbing, carabiners, harnesses, belay devices (sticht plate, ATC, Gri-Gri, Figure Eight), Descenders (figure eight, rescue eight, ATC), Ascenders, protection devices (nuts, hexcenters, spring loaded camming devices), sewn runners, helmets, ice axes, headlamps, climbing harnesses, climbing screws, pulleys, trekking pole, mountaineering shaft, pitons, haul bag, bouldering mat, holds, books/maps, and more. Special training equipment for climbing includes: grip savers, fingerboards, campus boards and more.

You can also take other personal items, like: sunglasses, first aid kit, sun block, extra clothing, knife, sunhat, foam ear plugs, camera, tent, cookware, camp stove, food, water, sleeping bag/pad, a knife, approach shoes, chalk and chalk bag. Ice climbers also need special insulated clothing to protect them from the extreme cold weather. These include parkas, warm pants, gloves or mitts, calf-length or full-length gaiters, thermal long-john underwear, polypro underwear, pile or down jacket, thermal heavyweight socks, fleece sweater or jacket and a balaclava.

Some of the most popular ice climbing gear brands are: Black Diamond, Volcom, Nixon, Oakley, Smith, Spy, The North Face, Nikita, Eagle Creek, Dakine, Mountain Hardwear sand others. Climbing equipment has to be certified by the International Federation of Mountaineering Associations (UIAA) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). Ice climbing equipment can also be purchased online.

One of the ‘Golden Rules’ of Internet Marketing

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

In my opinion, one of the ‘Golden Rules’ of Internet marketing has to be the following:

‘Once you have uploaded a website, you should leave it online forever – even if it is only making you a couple of dollars a month.’

As long as you are covering the hosting and domain registration fees each year (maximum of a couple of dollars a month), then why take the site offline? Admittedly if the site is causing you hours of work every week and still only making you a couple of dollars income each month, then yes, remove it. But if the site involves you in no work (for example if it sells an eBook or you generate Adsense income etc from it, then why remove it?)

The point is that whilst the site in question may only be generating a small amount today, you never know what might happen tomorrow…..

This principle has been illustrated to me in a pretty big way during the past week and this is the sole reason that it is fresh in my mind and I want to share the experience with you so that you don’t make the mistake that I very nearly made.

I have a site which I built about three years ago. It was a bit of an experiment and not connected to my main income-earning sites in any way. The site covered a topic that was pretty competitive online – an industry for which top search engine rankings were exceptionally hard to get. As I say, it was an experiment and I didn’t really expect the site to make me much money – which was a good thing as it meant that I wasn’t too disappointed when it didn’t! :-)

After a few months of receiving no traffic, the site was eventually picked up by a couple of the major search engines and it started to receive a handful of visitors each day. I guess on a very good day I would get 45 referrals. Needless to say, the site wasn’t making a fortune in income but something is always better than nothing.

Anyway at the beginning of this year I undertook a review of all of my websites and made the decision to ditch a few of the under-performing sites. This is where I nearly made a big mistake by deleting my little site but for whatever reason, the site in question managed to survive my ‘cull’. It was a close call but in the end I decided that even though the site was only making $20 or $30 a month, it wasn’t involving me in any work so it would be stupid to turn it off just for the sake of it.

So the site remained online and up until last week, it continued to tick over as it has done for the past three years, earning a minimal income every month from the few visitors that manage to find it.

That all changed last Thursday however when Google suddenly decided that my little experiment site was far more valuable than it had previously thought. Yup, Google decided that instead of listing my site way down the rankings for one or two low-level keywords, it would index the site at the top of the rankings (quite literally in first place in many instances) for numerous high-level keywords! :-)

Result? The site has gone from receiving an average of 35 visitors a day from Google to receiving over 500 visitors per day. On the busiest day this week, Google kindly sent the site just under 800 visitors.

Of course, this is great news and the site is already making considerably more profit than it has ever done but just look at how I would have missed out if I had taken the site offline. Remember, this is a site that I have barely touched in three years and I certainly haven’t spent any time optimizing the site for the search engines. It is just a simple case of Google changing their algorithm in a way that favours my site considerably. This is one of those situations which could happen to any website at any time and this is the main reason why I say, once you have a site online, leave it there.

Clearly there is no guarantee that my site is going to stay at the top of Google for any length of time and given my experience of how search engines work, I am prepared for it to drop back down the index at any time but I am certainly enjoying the extra traffic while it lasts.

The above situation also illustrates how fickle search engines can be. Longer term readers will remember that I took the decision not to bother chasing search engine rankings some time ago. This decision was taken after Google decided to move one of my highly optimized sites from top position for countless keywords to about 20th position. This was a site which I had spent weeks optimizing and a site which had held top positions for over two years. Traffic to this site dropped away in hours and that was the point at which I vowed not to waste my time chasing search engine rankings and instead, would just let the search engines sort themselves out and rank my sites as they saw fit.

Sometimes this approach works and sometimes it doesn’t – I try not to let it worry me either way…

How To Get An Avalanche Of Free Publicity For Your Home Business!

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

There are many ways you can get tons of free publicity in the form of write-ups in magazines, newspapers, and even radio and TV. And sometimes you can turn family events into human-interest stories that editors like and will publish in their magazine and newspapers

One way is to compose a printed news release on your product or service, but include a story involving your family into the release. Write the release like a news article in a newspaper. Tell who, what, when, why, and how interested people can benefit from your product. Avoid hard selling copy — just give the facts, and if you can weave in an interesting story in the process, all the better.

For example, I am a musician with a line of products in the music educational field. Years ago I created a giant musical staff out of plastic and turned it into a game that kids could play on the floor. In the news release about it, I told how my own kids used it, and included some dialog between them:

“That’s a whole note!” exclaimed my daughter Kendra.

“Is not! It’s got a stem, and whole notes don’t have stems” my son Kurt corrected her.

“Is too!”

“Is not!”

“Is too!”

“Is not!”

“Oh…what’s a stem, Kurt?”

“It’s the line coming down from the note head, stupid.”

“I am not stupid!”

“Are too!”

“Am not!”

Finally Mom intervened before an all-out war broke out.

But henceforth and evermore both of my kids knew the difference between a whole note and a half note.

For some reason, editors found that little story amusing, and wrote up the story pretty much as I sent it in. They also included information on how interested parents could get a “Giant Staff Game” for their own kids, and as a result we got orders from all over the states and some foreign countries from both parents and schools. It was written up in House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, plus many music magazines and teachers’ journals.

This was not just a one-time fluke, either — over the years we received news write-ups galore in everything from the Wall Street Journal to Popular Mechanics — all related to our product, but written in a way to make editors smile and then decide to publish the release in their publications.

Can you do the same? Think about the funny little incidents in your family life, and then think of ways you can work that into a news release about your product or service.

How Roman Abramovich Became a Billionaire at Age 34, and Why Most Managers Struggle

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

When he was only 36 years old Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea Football Club. Within a year he had spent £90m on new players and Chelsea finished 4th in the league.

Mr. Abramovich’s reaction was to fire the Manager in 2004 and bring in Portuguese coach Jose Marinho. In 2005 Chelsea won the Premiership, The League Cup and the Community Shield. They also made the semi final of The Champions League.

Mr. Abromovich’s behavior differs from that of most other senior managers in four important ways.

Do it Now

He didn’t get to be a billionaire at the age of 34 by putting off important issues until tomorrow. It is a sure bet that he never hesitates to do what needs doing today. He is not a man to be deterred by constraints of budget, resources or other people’s attitudes or opinions.

Make it happen

Even the most cursory study of Mr Abramovich’s career shows that whenever he’s involved he makes a difference. He is not a man who allows anything to deter him from what he wants to achieve; just look at what has happened in Chukotka province since he became Governor only 5 years ago.

He employs the best people then gives them the best leaders, resources and coaches to make sure they deliver to the highest standards.

Build on Success

Most managers do not seek to improve their team until things are going wrong or their people are overloaded and stressed.

Roman Abramovich brought in a first class coach when Chelsea were doing well but needed a little extra to make them into table toppers.

This very successful business man deliberately builds on success – most ordinary managers only try to fix things when they think they’re going wrong.

Provide the Resources to Achieve the Results

When it comes to taking risks most managers don’t want to know. “Safety first” is their motto. “Keep a low profile”. “Keep your head below the parapet”. “Don’t put your wage packet at risk.” Such attitudes only ensure that their ideas are incinerated on the fires of corporate bureaucracy. Their passion is dissipated by their lack of courage to push their plans through to implementation.

I would bet a lot of money that Roman Abramovich does not think about safety. I’ll bet that he focuses all his attention on the result he wants and that he makes it his business to provide the resources necessary to achieve those results.

What about you?

Good questions to ask yourself are: Are you focused on the results you need? Have your team got the resources they need to achieve those results? Are you allowing constraints of budget or company policy to hold you back? How big a player do you really want to be? What is it about the way you behave that’s holding you back?

How Brand as an Intellectual Property has Led to Corporate Globalisation?

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Introduction

Globalisation is referred to as a set of profound material changes that have an impact on relations between societies in the past few decades. The identifiable features of these material changes are witnessed in the development and growth of web, satellite transmission, fibre-optic technology, broadband operations, transnational corporations and the emergence of World Trade Organisation.

Globalisation is transformation of how ideas travel and the nature of their final destination leading to increase in international trade thereby increased competition. Firms expand by penetrating established markets to create new markets for their products. This necessitates them to have identity for them by establishing trademarks by way of branding and keep on administering to create value. While expanding and penetrating newer markets; developing, promoting and performing marketing operations using different trade marks for different countries become costlier. The more the countries a trademark is known, the greater is its value and the greater the need to protect the same by registering at the global level. Trademark registration involves not only higher costs but also procedural constraints while registering the same in every country.

Brands have become part of not only an economic market, but also a metaphorical market because they involve and propagate a system of using signs to control meaning and language as brands fulfils several different economic functions.

Identification: On a basic level, it serves an identification function by associating a product with a company.

Communication: More abstractly, it has an informative function, in that it provides a vehicle for the efficient communication of information, thereby reducing consumer search costs in choosing a product. Signaling: The use of branding in advertising also serves a signaling function, in that, it suggests that a company who is willing to expend a substantial sum on its advertising must have developed a good product. Expression: Lastly, branding also serves an expressive function, in the sense that it links a particular consumer identity or essence with a product.

Mega – branding Strategy

Branding involves not just the product name, advertisements, or the use of a logo, but the core assumptions and beliefs that are conjured up when one thinks of the brand. The best brands were those who could generate a certain psychological feeling about the product. Thus, the “brand essence” moved away from a focus on the product and toward a psychological association of the brand with a certain identity. Today, firms undertake “mega-branding” strategy, in which firms devote a substantial portion of their income towards placing their logo on a variety of different products and events, further amplifying the link between psychological, cultural and corporate association. In this way manufacturers control both supply and demand by manipulating consumer trends through the skilful promotion of the brand.

Brand Plan – A Valuable Management Tool

Brand plan is a crucial step in charting a business route to success. A good brand plan provides an overview of where the brand is, how it plans to position or reposition itself, and how it seeks to achieve its business objectives. A well-prepared and regularly updated brand plan is a valuable management tool that serves variety of purposes. It helps examine the feasibility of taking a brand idea to the market. A written brand plan forces a firm to think through all the key issues – such as the potential demand, the nature of the competition, entry barriers, the unique selling proposition, key employees, relevant technologies and strategic partners, raising funds, projected start-up costs, and the like.

A brand plan is a reference document that provides management with an objective basis for determining whether the brand is on track to meet its goals and objectives with the available resources in a set timeframe. Innovation is very important and critical to the future of the brands. Context, Leadership and core values of the brands are the drivers of innovation. One needs to address “What is the current situation of the brand? What threats for survival might exist?”, “What is the leadership passionate about? What drives the choices, decisions and behaviour in the organisation? How innovation and creativity improve brand? How this can be strengthened to be considered as a global brand? Customer analysis and brainstorming help generate ideas for innovation. Internal sources and customers are the best sources of ideas.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has initiated and promoted the Madrid Protocol, which establishes a system for the international registration of trademarks to reduce this cost due to multiple registrations in different countries. This protocol is termed as the Intellectual Property Rights. Intellectual Property Rights cover Patents, Trade-marks, Industrial designs, Copy rights & related rights, Geographical indications and Trade secrets & Undisclosed information. Trademarks have become more than a means of protecting market share. They have become an invaluable tool in claiming and creating markets. From just being a trade mark, they become trust marks as brands. According to the author and journalist Naomi Klein, “branded world where the logo is a common language understood by everyone” leading to a shift in corporate marketing strategies: from promoting commodities based on the needs of the marketplace, to promoting a brand to represent a lifestyle thereby create needs in the marketplace. The branding strategy makes the trademark and the socio-cultural identities associated with the mark including the product itself.

Intellectual property in a brand plan becomes critical as business incubator or investors need to understand and accept the coherence of the brand idea including its protection. New or original knowledge and/or creative expression of ideas, protectable by the system of intellectual property (IP), underpin their competitive advantage and success. Therefore, a brand plan should cogently reflect how the firm plans to protect, manage and leverage its intellectual property assets for brand success. Patents for Brands provide exclusivity for the commercialization of inventions and often play a crucial role in convincing investors or lenders. One or more patents along with industrial design registrations reflect as a proof of brands ability to dissuade competitors using original or aesthetically attractive features of the brand. Therefore, a brand plan should integrate intellectual property and reflect the steps that are planned to develop, register and effective use of intangible assets to win and retain market share from competitors.

While integrating intellectual property, operational elements that make the brand innovative like, Challenge, customer focus, creativity, communication, collaboration, completion and contemplation should also be considered.
Issues

The possibility of inadvertently infringing a third party’s intellectual property rights is high in high-tech sectors. Confidential information such as details of production, inventions, and technical, financial and marketing know-how is often the source of competitive advantage. Intellectual Property can be a highly valuable asset. Managing and ascribing a value on the balance sheet of the brand will make it more attractive to potential investors. The more the position in the market place is exploited, more the value will be of the property while licensing it or selling the brand.

Conclusion

Administering Intellectual Property is an arduous task for approaching investors and considering the market opportunities for the brand. As the Intellectual Property provides the brand with competitive advantages and increases its value, it is necessary to let the investors know that the intellectual property integrates with the brand plan. Reference to the assets of the brand and its market opportunities should list both the tangible and intangible assets, as the latter are often the key to success of the brand. The growing emphasis on the brand has been paralleled by a massive expansion of property rights in trade symbols. In the past, the law’s major emphasis focused on protecting a mark in order to avoid the danger of consumer confusion, or piracy between goods which used similar marks. However, today, the focus has shifted towards trademark protection. In other words, in order to protect their trade marks used in advertisements and logos, firms turn to trademark law, and copyright law. As per the trademarks, 1999, the term mark includes a device, brand, heading, label, ticket, name signature, word, letter or numeral or any combination thereof. The new Trade Marks Act, 1999 has made far reaching changes in the act considering the liberalisation and globalisation of economy. They include particularly the following:

a. Registration of Service Marks

b. Collective marks provided

c. Two parts A & B abolished

d. Well known trademarks protected even if not registered

e. Shape of words can also be registered

Hence, intellectual property law should form a key part of every aspect of a good brand plan.

How To Get Celebrities To Endorse YOUR Product

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

How would you like celebrities to endorse your product?

Perhaps that sounds crazy. Well, here’s the info…

But before anything else – let me stress that when I say “celebrities”, I’m not talking about Tiger Woods or Tom Cruise!

Who I’m talking about is celebrities in YOUR market. People who are very highly thought of and well known in the market you’re selling to. People who your target market look up to.

Take this real life example:

An online publisher named Alex was just about to launch an information product revealing psychological sales tactics.

However, even though his product was of the very highest quality, Alex was looking for something “extra” that would increase sales of the product even more.

What Alex wanted to achieve is to boost *credibility* in the sales message presenting the product. So visitors to his site would actually believe what they read, and therefore be a lot more likely to buy.

Now, since the product Alex was selling was revealing sales and marketing tactics, it would of course be purchased by people interested in selling more online.

So who better to give Alex a testimonial than a world famous marketing expert?…

Alex managed to get a testimonial from none other than Joe Sugarman – hugely successful direct marketer and famous for his BluBlocker sun glasses infomercials.

So – how do YOU go about boosting your own sales with testimonials from celebrities?

Well, let me firstly stress that unless you already have a relationship with the person (you know each other), there’s a strong chance they won’t reply to you. They may, or they may not. So be prepared for that.

Sending them an email is quick, but I get 200+ emails a day at the moment (spam included), and that’s on the low end compared to the number of emails some people I know get.

So email may work if you’re looking for a testimonial from a celebrity in your market, but don’t hold your breath.

How about a phone call? It’s worth a chance, but then again the person you’re trying to reach may have a secretary, and what are your chances of getting past them with a testimonial request?

Or of course you could always send them a good ole fashioned “snail mail” letter, preferably including a complimentary copy of your product.

Will this work? Well, it will definitely help get their attention. You may want to contact them via email initially asking them for their postal address so you can send them a review copy of the product.

By doing that initially you’re sure to get the right address, and it helps put a mental note in the person’s mind that they’re going to receive a package from you soon.

Or here’s an almost fool proof way: why not buy time from them? Especially if they offer consulting already. It doesn’t guarantee they’ll offer a testimonial, but if your product’s great, chances are they will.

So let’s say you’ve got the product in their hands, and they like it. Here’s the last step:

Make it as easy as possible for them. The people you contact are very busy, since that’s how they got to where they are.

So what you need to do is write the testimonial for them. And once you’ve done that, send it over saying “I’ve included a potential testimonial outline for you. If you would be happy to offer a testimonial for the product, please feel free to change this draft testimonial as you would like to.”

Now I can’t guarantee you’ll get testimonials every time you try, especially if you’re not well known in the market or don’t have a relationship with the person already. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know. And just one or two celebrity testimonials can make a real positive impact on your sales for the long term.

How to Insulate a Basement With Safety in Mind

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Learning how to insulate a basement properly not only saves money on energy bills, but also provides a welcome degree of comfort in that area of your home. But learning how to insulate a basement safely leaves some of us in the dark. Here are some tips on how to do so.

One important lesson in learning how to insulate a basement should be to always wear safety goggles, a dust mask, and protective clothing. Otherwise, particles of insulation can get into your hair, eyes, and nose, as well as irritate the skin. Wear shirts with long sleeves, long pants, work gloves, and at least a jacket or pullover that sports an attached hood. If working in unfinished areas with construction going on, always wear a hardhat to guard against getting bonked on the head with wood, pipe, or other falling objects. Rubber-soled shoes make the smartest footwear choice to avoid slips on wet surfaces. Protecting yourself with the proper attire and gear can save you from discomfort or even a trip to the doctor.

Another part of understanding how to insulate a basement includes learning about electricity. All power tools should be appropriately grounded and, when using them, make absolutely sure cords do not interfere with their operation. Watch out for frayed wiring in older homes and keep everything – including insulating materials – well away from the wiring until you’ve had a chance to repair it.

Do not smoke while you are learning how to insulate a basement. Many types of insulation materials are highly flammable. Smoking in an enclosed area, like a basement, also traps the smoke and causes even more damage to your lungs than smoking in a ventilated area. You are, in essence, re-inhaling secondhand smoke.

These are just a few ideas to keep in mind while learning how to insulate a basement. Plain old common sense goes a long way, however, and you should make sure yours is in top form. It’s not that difficult to learn how to insulate a basement, but don’t forget to keep your safety in mind, too!

Experience Awareness of this Particular Life and Get Glimpses of Others?

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

You are dipping into the Akashic Records. These are holograms of all events that have taken place and are stored within the silence of your Core Being. Your awareness has started to awaken to this Inner Knowledge and you are able to watch and take part in these past events and lifetimes, just like on the Star Trek Holodeck.

You are a very special person and I feel it is your innocence to the experience, which makes it possible for you to have it. You are not trying, which would take you away from the experience as you connect to these more subtle levels of the mind by letting go, relaxing, releasing, and going deeper into the Silence within your consciousness.

“Are there some then that are fully aware of all aspects?”

Yes, Masters have understood who they are: the whole universe, with all life taking place within themselves. A good way to think of the universe is like a pebble on a beach. If you looked deeply into the pebble at the atomic structure, you would see all the electrons going around the nuclei: each atom like a solar system.

Time would be as if it takes a year for the electrons of the atom to make one revolution around the positive nucleus, radiating their energy, not unlike Earth going around the Sun. If your awareness is of the whole pebble, it is all happening within yourself at the same time.

You could say it takes millions of light years for the light from another nucleus or star to reach you but with the awareness of the whole pebble you know it is all happening in the now. The now does evolve as our consciousness grows and evolves and we become more self-aware of who and what we are.

“Can they all merge?”

I would say they are all merged already; it is our limited perception that gives us the illusion that they are all separate.

When we allow the mind and human consciousness to settle and become aware of their connection to Universal Consciousness and to merge with it, we see the connection point between the human, plant and animal kingdoms. We see the unity of life in all its forms and dimensions.

“Why am I not experiencing the lifetime when I was a speechwriter for Abraham Lincoln?”

Have you chosen to experience this? Have you pressed the right button to make the Holodeck play the tape? The power is within you and it is just a question of learning the right skills. This is a process of self-realization: no one else can do it for you.

“Is there something here in this particular aspect for me that is in no other?”
You are your story, which is unique, and it is programmed into your DNA and on every level of your existence. Your mind and your awareness have the power to change your story.

It is also good to be true to your story and live your nature. If one looks at dogs for instance, if you want to catch a rabbit, you may choose to use a Greyhound, as it has the right story to do this. If you want to herd sheep, you may choose to use a Border Collie: they have the right story for the job.

The question is, what is your story? What have you been pre-programmed to do; what is within your nature? What are your life’s purpose and your dharma? Only you know your nature and it comes from being innocent and being yourself, true to your nature.

“How does my soul partner relate to all this?”

Your soul partner is your opposite; you are half and they are half, like Yin and Yang; a particle and its antiparticle; male and female. When the two of you come together, you grow exponentially to become something more than the parts.

Like the particle and antiparticle, your coming together transforms you both from two particles into a wave of light. In humans, this union leads to the birth of the next generation and the continuation and mixing of stories or natures.

It is good to know of your connection to the whole, but it is also good to enjoy the human experience and live your life to the full. Your soul partner will help you experience the full range of your feelings and emotions; this is what living is all about.

Life is always changing; through change we can evolve and experience new aspects of our Self and our feelings and emotions, and experience a richer and more fulfilling life. Enjoy the journey!

Your Money Making Begins With Your Newsletter

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Having a newsletter is vital to you making money from your website. It gives you the opportunity to remind everyone that you’re website still exists, and to show them any new things that you’ve set up for them.
Not only that, but if you write articles with advertisements on them and you let your subscribers know that you’ve written it, you’re quite likely to get a lot of clicks on the ads, which means you make more money.

Running a newsletter might sound like a lot of hard work. Well that depends entirely on you really. Don’t get me wrong, it wont run itself, but you can make your life a lot easier for yourself based on the choices you make.

There are many newsletter running companies around, which means you have a lot of choices. I’m only going to talk about a few worth mentioning and using in my opinion.

What Do I Write About?

This one can be difficult for some people. You need to remember that you’re going to have to write something new every month or every week, this makes sure that your subscribers always have something nice to read and look at. If your website is about dogs, write a new article about dogs every time you publish your newsletter. The best thing to do is to get a piece of note paper and brain storm, write every word you can think of that is related to dogs (Or your topic obviously). This will give you a ton of stuff to write about. Once you’ve done one brainstorm and written a newsletter article, save that brain storm and do another one when another article is due, this will give you double the material to consider and should help you write even more interesting articles.

If you still can’t think of anything, you’re probably not trying hard enough, but there is another option if you really can’t think of something. You can hire a writer to write articles for you. Some people will write articles for $5 each. You’ll probably have to buy about 10 articles at a time from them though so it’s worth it for them.

Now you just need an autoresponder to distribute your newsletter.

What’s An Autoresponder?

Before I continue, there’s something very important that you need to know. With an ordinary newsletter, you can only send out messages while your at the computer right? Well with an autoresponder you can be asleep and it will still be working away for you. Here’s an example, for one of my newsletters on another site I run, I use an autoresponder. Every time someone subscribes to my newsletter, they receive a welcome email, thanking them for subscribing and telling them what to expect from me in the future.

Then every day, they are automatically sent an email article that I had previously set up. They will get a new email article everyday for about 10 days, then they’ll receive the normal newsletter. For that newsletter I have about 5,000 subscribers. Imagine how long it would take me to sent out that many emails manually every single day! It would be a total nightmare. Thankfully I use an autoresponder to do all the hard work for me. I just have to write an article once, plug it in and then everyone can easily receive it.

So, what you’re looking for is an autoresponder to distribute your newsletter and any emails that you want to send to your subscribers. If you’re feeling a little lost, don’t worry I’ll guide you through the whole process.

Here’s What I Use:

There is only one I will mention, because I’ve used it and I love it, technical support is quick as well.
It’s called getresponse.
They have a free version you can use and try out for as long as you like. Obviously I recommend upgrading to the paid version as soon as possible because it’s far better than the free version. But if you can’t afford about $17, then the free version is what you’ll have to deal with.
