Paramore Are at Risk of Sounding like Any Other Pop-Punk Band, Just with the Addition of Having a Hot Girl as the Front Man versus a Lovable Guy
Friday, March 5th, 2010Paramore are one of those bands that everybody around me appears to love, but I just never actually get round to becoming keen on I am not sure why, but I think if I am not a massive Hayley Williams lover by this time, I may never be.
Their latest album, new Eyes has had a play or 2 on my work iTunes though , before you all begin saying I haven’t given them an opportunity, and to be honest, I am quite liking their new single the sole Exception. The difficulty is, I suspect Paramore are at risk of sounding like any other pop-punk band, just with the addition of having a hot girl as the front man versus a lovable guy I mean, if it was your usual floppy haired, tattooed guy singing would you be a fan? Anyhow, in peril of having over-eyeliner girls hunting me down with pitchforks over the opinion that sexiness is what’s made this band successful, I’ll let you make your own mind up about the track, try the video below and make sure I know I will be able to concede that Hayley does have a good voice. Content now? On Feb 17th, powered by Ramen officially released the newest Paramore video for their single, “The Only Exception”. Being that I suspect Hayley Williams is a b*dass, I believed that I might take a look at the new video. Having not heard the track before, I was uncertain of what can be expected, but I was convinced that there would be a lot of rocking out and acute hair styles. I was certainly wrong.
Straight after hitting the “play” button, I realized that “The Only Exception” is a love ballad performed by Williams. You can watch the video here.
The video starts with her sitting up on a couch where she was laying next to a boy, who is still sound asleep. After she leaves a note of apology, Williams walks out the front door only to finish up in the dining room of her father’s house.
Door-by-door, Williams finds herself everywhere from in her room to out on a date that will end up being with many men who wait in line to take a seat across from her at the dinner table.
