Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co (KKR) was set up by Henry Kravis and his business partner George Roberts in the 1970's with the help of the First Chicago Corporation.

We strongly recommend you review this comprehensive source for Ken Mehlman infos.

When Henry Kravis and his business partner George Roberts launched Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co (KKR) in the mid-seventies with support from the First Chicago Corporation, their focus was in leveraged buyouts. However, they have set up an exceptional venture which concentrates not just on how lucrative a corporate entity is, but additionally on the environmental impact of the companies they invest in. KKR’s Henry Kravis and the independent Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) merged a year ago, intending to make green business procedures a widespread principle. This alliance intended to help resolve many fundamental matters impeding the ecology of the earth, including global warming, water pollution, inflated water consumption, and depletion of the ozone layer. Eco-efficiency (a phrase initially submitted by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development WBCSD) governs their mission’s framework, by utilizing environmentally sound policies like reducing the intensity of materials, using clean energy and increasing the durability of products. The Green Portfolio Project was a great success, however the management did not even realize the range of the program’s advantages until the head of the Green Portfolio Project and global public affairs, Ken Mehlman, evaluated the numbers from the project when it had been operating for its first twelve months.

Ken Mehlman who graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1988, has served as field director for George W. Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign, became Managing Director and Head of Global Public Affairs at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, LLP in 2008 and presently serves as a member of the executive leadership cabinet of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Foundation, the Council on Foreign Relations Climate Change Task Force, and the board of directors at the National Endowment for Democracy, found that applying eco-efficiency wasn’t merely cutting impact on the planet, but it was also helping to save business concerns a great deal of money. At the time of writing, KKR and Ken Mehlman have almost each and every firm in their portfolio involved in eco-efficiency techniques. And, when you consider that the group has a current business portfolio with an estimated value of 86,000,000,000 dollars, you can be sure this was not an easy achievement. Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co with the EDF alongside Ken Mehlman are developing the initial project. For example, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co linked up with the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps Program an organization that teaches interns taking an MBA how to design and initiate cost efficient, green practices. KKR and Ken Mehlman have taken the time to develop a series of metrics which will be able to quantify and administer various resources. These metrics can track an organization’s environmental impact and discover any areas that might need to be focused on. Today’s business community has been altogether transformed by the ecologically focused efforts of these organizations. So, to summarize, these systems have made environmentally friendly business techniques not only viable, but commercially desirable, and their revolutionary ideas are setting a new standard in today’s world.

Hailing from New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus brought the practices of software, airlines, and hospitality together and energized all three industries.

A major improvement in hospitality and airline travel was sparked off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who brought them together with the software world to produce something new. His resume covers time-saving software, airplane safety advancements, and he’s even involved in designing upmarket homes.

Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus‘ family history it’s easy to tell he was bound to reach the top. His clan traces its roots back to the time of ancient Rome and proudly boasts a diverse mix of nationalities. His maternal line mingles Scottish and German roots. An equivalently wide blend stands out in the paternal branch — before their emigration in the late nineteenth century, the family lived in Luxembourg and England. After arriving in America, the line continued to persevere and climb in the world. Nicholas, who would grow up with his siblings, was a child of a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his spouse, a practicing nurse. Nicholas went on to live in Texas for a while and also spent time in Reston, VA, Kansas City, MO and Scottsdale, AZ.

And what, you might ask, did he do with his background and studies? A series of high powered jobs were soon his, all working for big airlines. Bredimus rose to the position of vice president with corporations like Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest, and Trans World Airlines (TWA) respectively. Nevertheless, above all the airline industry has felt the need to be grateful for his pioneering work in software and system architecture. He is most recognized for one project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance management applications that can nowadays be found being used by the majority of air carriers. He created countless other pieces of software for the airline and hospitality sector both before and after, among them automatic systems to deal with flight reservations, used by fifty or more firms, as well as the first desktop computer based room reservation program in use in the hotel sector, which was initially installed at more than 700 hotels. Still innovating, he published a networking program to help with ticket ordering — once again developing something nobody else had achieved.

Though this was his forte, he has frequently worked on other areas. He worked as manager for American Express’ important IT wing, founded Bredimus Systems in 1993, and became the inaugural president of AMR Travel Services.

Right now, though, Mr Bredimus has stepped back from his airline connections and from coding, though rest assured he’s still making best use of his mind. He’s at work now advancing architecture — mixing the demands of comfort with true concern for the ecology.

Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co (KKR) was set up in the 1970’s and back then their focus was in highly leveraged transactions. But recently they have established an innovative green proposal that centers not merely on how lucrative an enterprise is, but also on how ecologically friendly each of their companies are. Environmentally aware business practice became more generally acceptable a year ago when KKR’s Henry Kravis and the the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) merged. Issues like climate change and disproportionate water consumption are a priority in their corporate mission statement. Eco-efficiency (a term initially coined by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development) is the formula employed to achieve these targets, by employing policies like using clean energy, improving fuel economy through vehicle fleet maintenance and reducing the waste of resources. Regardless of the fact that the program was an enormous success, staff simply did not realize how incredible the effects really were until Ken Mehlman, the head of the Green Portfolio Project and global public affairs, looked over the numbers for the first 12 months. Only at that point did Ken notice that eco-efficiency wasn’t merely reducing their environmental impact, but in addition it was helping to save a broad range of companies a great deal of money, making the program virtually an immediate hit. Currently, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co and Ken Mehlman have virtually every associated company taking part in eco-efficiency. Still, when you consider that the group has a current portfolio with a worth of 86,000,000,000 dollars, you may be certain that this wasn’t a simple see what an enormous achievement this is. KKR with the Environmental Defense Fund with the help of Ken Mehlman are further developing the Green Portfolio project. The Climate Corps Program founded by the Environmental Defense Fund is an example of this, it campaigns for eco-efficient business techniques to students taking an MBA. In addition, Ken Mehlman has been in close collaboration with KKR to develop a series of analytic tools which business concerns can employ to evaluate and manage various resources. Tools like these can assess a company’s ecological impact and identify any areas which might need to be focused on.

Henry Kravis, the KKR, and the Environmental Defense Fund are genuine pioneers in the world of green business. These developments have simplified the procedure for companies in every sector and shown that running a profitable business need not entail the hefty price of negatively impacting our planet.

Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co (KKR) was set up by Henry Kravis and his partner George Roberts in the mid-seventies with the assistance of the First Chicago Corporation. However, they have assembled an exceptional green project which focuses not only on maximum profit margins, but likewise on how ecologically friendly each of their companies are.

Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co’s Henry Kravis and the non-profit Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) got together last year, intending to make green business practices an accepted idea. Issues like hazardous waste and exaggerated water consumption are an important part of their corporate mission.

To follow through with these goals, they apply a technique dubbed eco-efficiency; this involves techniques like recycling programs, maximum use of renewable resources, and waste reduction. Simple and effective, but the KKR and EDF didn’t grasp the full project’s advantages until Ken Mehlman, the man responsible for the program, reviewed the project when it had been operating for its first twelve months.

Much to everybody’s surprise, Ken saw that this program not only increased environmental awareness, but was increasing the the profit from every last business organization as well. Nearly all of the firms connected with Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co and Ken Mehlman today are actively taking part in eco-efficiency. However, when you consider that the group has a 2009 business portfolio worth 86,000,000,000 dollars, you may be sure this was not a simple feat. The original program has evolved beyond its basic remit and today includes new initiatives. For example, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co joined the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps Program an enterprise that teaches MBA interns how to encourage cost efficient, environmentally friendly practices.

In addition, Ken Mehlman has been in close collaboration with Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co to create a package of metrics and analytic tools which firms can employ to quantify and oversee a number of resources. With this information available, companies can measure each of their daily operations and ascertain precisely how they can resolve any issues while simultaneously permitting them to view how far they have advanced. Henry Kravis, the KKC, and the Environmental Defense Fund have encouraged all sorts of businesses to become more environmentally friendly. In summary, the work of these organizations has made green business practice not only viable, but commercially desirable, and their novel ideas are setting a new standard in today’s business world.

Most truly prominent CEOs are very active members of their chosen community and the gentleman we will be looking at here is thankfully no exception, on the contrary. You have probably seen the name of Mr. Naveen Jain the co-founder & CEO of Intelius, Inc. the acclaimed company providing background checks and public records services. Well beyond making the Forbes 400 Richest in America list 2000, this prosperous entrepreneur has won various distinguished awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, and the WSA Industry Achievement Award. Even so it surely doesn't end there. This is because Mr. Jain and his family are every bit as ardent about their charity endeavors and will try to give assistance to others when they can.

Most if not all renowned CEOs are pushing for philanthropy these days. Like most all people you’ll have seen mention of Mr. Naveen Jain’s name in connection with him being the CEO & co-founder of Intelius, Inc. the celebrated information commerce market leader. Beyond having made the Forbes 400 Richest in America list 2000, this enterprising entrepreneur has been bestowed a variety of distinguished awards, notably the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the WSA Industry Achievement Award, to cite merely only three. But it does not finish off at that point. Because Mr. Naveen Jain and his relations are likewise as zealous about philanthropy and will seek to help out whenever possible. The youth of today are certainly humanity’s ultimate hope or the future. Naveen Jain also views them as being at the very core of his endeavors, and he leverages every opportunity he happens to come across to help them. This, too, is why he is persistently exploiting every possibility available to him to lend a helping hand wherever even remotely viable. Hence, Naveen Jain, his kin and his staff at Intelius, Inc. apply their time and efforts to many different charitable agencies such as the University of Washington, the Children’s Hospital, and Child Rights and You (CRY). They will hand out plenty of financial assistance but most importantly, they pledge time and care to those youth who require it the most. Moreover, Naveen Jain helps by sponsoring the Children’s Hospital in an attempt to restore children’s health, as well.

With Jain being a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI Jamshedpur, it is hardly astounding that professional training is a key hub in his benevolent works. This incorporates causes and deserving causes that are local, state, and nationwide. Therefore Intelius and its CEO are supporting support agencies and charities like the Indian American Education Foundation, the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club and Hopelink. Getting sustenance to the underdogs of the planet is another central aim to Naveen Jain and those around him and to him, it makes not one speck of difference. Although he is aware that the job of locating sustenance for all the world’s famished is a herculean one, he is also aware that the unattainable can indeed be made possible if the whole world strives towards a common end. If this entrepreneur achieves his goals, there will be a decisive end to privation and hunger on this planet at some point. An observer would believe that being the head of a wildly thriving business and a committed spouse and parent would leave no time for donating and support. All the same Naveen makes certain that all of his humanitarian enterprises may rely on all the attention he can feasibly muster. This idealistic man is certainly very much more than a mere though admittedly most successful trailblazer of industry. He is a humanitarian minded citizen and a true community hero.

Like most people, you will have encountered Mr. Naveen Jain’s name as the CEO & co-founder of Intelius, Inc. the renowned company offering background checks and public records services. Beyond making the Forbes list “400 Richest in America” 2000, this prosperous businessman has collected several notable awards including the WSA Industry Achievement Award, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, to list only only three. But that is not the end of the story. For Jain and his kin are in the same way as passionate about philanthropy and will endeavor to help out whenever possible. There’s no doubting the fact that our children are definitely our world’s number 1 resource and indeed its future. Naveen Jain also views young people as constituting the core of his enterprises and he leverages each and every opportunity available to help them. This is the chief reason why he is thoroughly using every possibility available to offer assistance whenever it is workable. Consequently, Naveen Jain, his kin and the workers at Intelius, Inc. dedicate their time and efforts to a variety of philanthropical organizations as, for example, the Rotary Club, the Overlake Service League, and United Way. Expectably, they will assign a great amount of monetary assistance but even more importantly they commit their time and care to the most needy and susceptible children. Mr. Jain also gives aid to the Children’s Hospital in an effort to restore children’s health too. With Naveen Jain being a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI Jamshedpur, it is no surprise that professional training has been assigned a very high status in his charitable outlook. This encompasses movements and charities that are local, state, and nationwide. Therefore, Intelius and its CEO are funding aid agencies and humanitarian entities, like, for example Hopelink, the University of Washington and the Indian American Education Foundation. Feeding the planet’s famished represents an additional essential challenge to Jain and his relatives and to him, it makes not one jot of difference. While Naveen is quite cognizant that the ambition to feed every destitute person in the world can look like an impossible task, he also understands that the unfeasible can really turn out to be attainable when everyone works in concert. If this entrepreneur should have his way, there will be a certain end to poverty and hunger on this planet at some point. You may feel that as the man in full control of a flourishing enterprise plus being an out-and-out family man would leave him little spare time for philanthropic activities. Regardless he ensures that each one of his charitable enterprises is given as much attention as he can realistically donate. To wrap it up, this altruistic man is certainly much more than an obsessed albeit admittedly eminently successful trailblazer of electronic commerce. In actual fact, he is an outstanding citizen and a genuine community patron.

These days compassionate philanthopy is probably as necessary as ever. In all likelihood you will have seen mention of Mr. Naveen Jain in connection with him being the CEO & co-founder of Intelius, Inc. the market leaders in background checks and public records services. Hence, Naveen Jain, his family and his workers at Intelius give their time and efforts to a great range of charities such as the Vedic Cultural Center, the University Preparatory Academy, and Hopelink. Obviously they hand out magnanimous pecuniary assistance but even more importantly they pledge their time and attention to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children. Mr. Jain also donates to the Children’s Hospital in an effort to restore children’s health, too.

Online forums are a centralized bulletin board for specific topics, or for just any topic. Most tend to have a theme of one sort or another. For instance, you may find forums pertaining to collecting of sports memorabilia. Within that forum there are likely specialized forums for instance baseball card collecting, autographed memorabilia, baseballs, bats, and other physical pieces of equipment used or autographed by the players. The forums are there for an open exchange of ideas, advice, and to share stories and experiences. Established forums quickly develop into very tight-knit communities. Often times forum members get together to enjoy the company of their online friends.

Forums evolved from the use of mailing lists and online bulletin boards, In fact, forums resemble the bulletin boards of the early 1990’s. The main difference between the two is that forums tend to have a much easier interface than many of the older bulletin boards. Another similarity to forums is the newsgroups; only newsgroups generally require a separate software application to access and read the messages. Forums, on the other hand require nothing but your Internet browser of choice..

Since forums tend to encourage an open exchange of ideas, they are an excellent source for neophytes to gather information and advice in whatever interests them. One thing to keep in mind while participating in a forum is that the advice or guidance that you get is only as good as the person providing the advice. In other words, verify everything, because most members tend to believe that they are experts in their subject matter. In no way does this mean to discount what you learn in the forums. Just exercise caution before making decisions based on that information.

Another favorite type of forum is for technical support with computers and the various peripherals. In these forums, you may find people that really are high caliber experts in their field. Many of the higher quality forums have rating or feedback systems in place that clearly displays the level of competency of the members that provide advice. Do not rely solely upon the high number of feedbacks unless some sort of indicator accompanies that number indicating overall quality of the feedback. You may find that you need to review some of the feedback comments to make sure the person provides accurate information.

Another thing to avoid when participating in a forum is spamming the different categories with the same question. In other words, if you have a question about how to install a modem on your computer, post your message in the forum that pertains to installing hardware. Do not post the same message in the forum for computer repairs, password retrieval, BIOS problems, driver updates, etc. Most forums also frown upon posting messages that appear commercial in nature. A new trend is for the forum hosts to have a “classified” section for those types of posts.

You may quickly get into trouble in a forum by ignoring the posted rules and guidelines. Many prohibit displaying personal information directly on the postings. This is probably a good idea for many reasons, the least of which is your personal safety. In addition, it discourages someone from monopolizing an experienced member’s time. It also puts your question on the posting for everyone to see. Just like in any community setting, many members never pose their own questions, preferring instead to see if someone else already asked that question. Before you post your questions, many forums ask you to read the postings to determine if someone else already asked the question that you have. The majority of forums have some type of search function integrated to help you quickly find information based on a few key words or phrases. If you find your information without having to post the question, and that information helps you in some way, be polite and return to the forum to post a “thank you” message as a reply to the original posting. The vast majority of forums are free; the members that help other members do so without compensation, therefore a kind word gives them the assurance that their time is well spent.

Another situation that may alienate the other members is the newbie that joins the forum and begins posting negative comments, or lambasting other members on a personal level about response that they provided. There is no place for ad hominem attacks on the character of other members. To help protect against such personal attacks, and to ensure that members adhere to the policies of the forum, most have some type of moderator oversight. If you fall victim to such a personal attack, human nature is to retaliate with a nasty message about the poster. Keep in mind that no matter what you say to the poster, you will likely not change their point of view. The simplest way to handle a situation such as this is to ignore the message. If you receive a personal threat that you judge as credible, take the necessary precautions to protect yourself, even if this means filing a police report. Turn these types of posts over to the forum moderators. When you turn it in, bear in mind that the moderator will read the posts as they appear on the forum, so if you retaliate, the moderator will see that as well.

While forums tend to imitate other online forms of communication, forums continue to carve their own niche in online communications. The huge variety of forum types nearly guarantees that at least one forum exists for everybody. Finding a forum is as easy as a web search with the topic in which you have interest along with the word ‘forums.’ Then visit the different forums until you find one that fits your needs. Before joining, please review the forum’s policies, user agreements, privacy policies, etc. A little reading now could very swell save you some anguish later.
